the list goes on and on.
but are there any religions or organizations that aren't classified as a high control group or aren't as bad as the ones i've just mentioned?

by Brokeback Watchtower innot a very good idea to say the least.
when i read paul's words the more i see how delusional the guy was.
he was a genuine religious fanatic who contradicts jesus words on the sermon on the mount.. 2 corinthians 10:5 5we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of god, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to christ.. delusional and in need of some serious psychological help.

Delusional and in need of some serious psychological help. He's the one who said to disfellowship people that don't do what he says. He even wish for those who promote circumcision would emasculate themselves.
This is religious indoctrination that knows know bounds.

It all depends on what you understand the word cult to mean:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cult
The term cult usually refers to a social group defined by its religious, spiritual, or philosophical beliefs, or its common interest in a particular personality, object or goal. The term itself is controversial and it has divergent definitions in both popular culture and academia and it also has been an ongoing source of contention among scholars across several fields of study.[1][2] In the sociological classifications of religious movements, a cult is a social group with socially deviant or novel beliefs and practices,[3] although this is often unclear.[4][5][6] Other researchers present a less-organized picture of cults on the basis that cults arise spontaneously around novel beliefs and practices.[7] The word "cult" has always been controversial because it is (in a pejorative sense) considered a subjective term, used as an ad hominem attack against groups with differing doctrines or practices.[8][9] Groups said to be cults range in size from local groups with a few members to international organizations with millions.[10]
Beginning in the 1930s, cults became the object of sociological study in the context of the study of religious behavior.[11] From the 1940s the Christian countercult movement has opposed some sects and new religious movements, and it labelled them as cults for their "un-Christian" unorthodox beliefs. The secular anti-cult movement began in the 1970s and it opposed certain groups, often charging them with mind control and partly motivated in reaction to acts of violence committed by some of their members. Some of the claims and actions of the anti-cult movements have been disputed by scholars and by the news media, leading to further public controversy.
The term "new religious movement" refers to religions which have appeared since the mid-1800s. Many, but not all of them, have been considered cults. Sub-categories of cults include: Doomsday cults, political cults, destructive cults, racist cults, polygamist cults, and terrorist cults. Governmental reactions to cult-related issues have also been a source of controversy.

The Psychology Of Conformity
by Brokeback Watchtower inare you one of those rare nonconformist?
i try to be,, i think it is healthy for the brain not to be a conformist.
not to simply do what conforms to the masses make the brain work more as opposed to doing what the masses do.

Not to simply do what conforms to the masses make the brain work more as opposed to doing what the masses do. Becoming who you are instead of just a cog in the wheel, part of the herd. Cult conformity leads to brain shrinkage,,, doing what the Watchtower corporation tell you to do and not thinking for yourself, and they don't have good motives,,it is simply corporation survival,,(run by a bunch of delusional ass hole called the Governing Body).

Just think of it.
These are grown men leading a corporation and they are slamming colleges as places off limits to their flocks children. Can things get any worse for these guys that will go before the world slamming education and likening it to produces a healthy pride in people as a reason for it being bad. Slave Morality at its ugliest. God I could not live with myself if I had to stoop as low as these ass holes.
Jehovah hates it when you have some pride in your self
All pride is an affront to God's greatness and His pride because He is the most best important person in the universe. Good for nothing slaves is what you are free labor, swallow your pride, or, die at armeggedon.
Want a bet these guys are suffering depressive anxiety from getting in front of and audience and spouting this corporation bull shit and having it broadcast all over YouTube.

Using Illegal Means for Righteous Activism

I'm not a great follower of laws, I think weigh all the options and it seems to be worth the risk by all mean do it, that's what you got a brain for to look at the best option laws considered as an option not an absolute for better brain function and a more deprogramed man be it religion, or government indoctrination. Your mind works better when free from these shackles.
And lets not get me started about the mind shackles of a bronze age Deity,, can do to make the mind punch out worthless information of no real value steeped in superstition.

The internet is making itself indispensible tool for a large portion of the human population and soon will be that way for everyone on the planet.
Only the most brain dead will use the net to research 'only theocratic corporation sponsored' sites.
On the battle with the internet the Watchtower Corporation's efforts have been dismal to say the least. So much for using asset wisely, too busy fighting apostates and DFing I suppose, which have left them with a dismal internet present that will never be anything but shit to the except to the most brain dead JW.
These guys hate science, higher education, and a imaginary Satan, they don't know jack shit about the real world they will never recover because they are always a day late and a dollar short.
